If the student is no longer a part of a Household, you'd end-date them from that Household and they will "float" in the system all alone without a Household or Address (kinda like real life, huh?). This would also mean they no longer have anyone acting as Guardian.
If the legal guardianship remains and the student is still "officially" a member of the Household, and the Household still has an address but the student is simply not living with the family anymore, then you wouldn't change anything other than the State Reporting (see below). Report Cards and other official school correspondence would still go to the address of the Household and legal guardian.
If the Household remains "intact" (relatively speaking) but the Household has become homeless, you would end-date the Address attached to the Household and the entire Household would "float" with no physical address (again like real life). You wouldn't change anything else other than the State Reporting (see below), although you would want to blank out phone number if no longer valid. If there's going to be any way to get mail to them, you can create (if necessary) and attach that as the new address, but would still change their State Reporting.
All State Reporting Data is in the Enrollment. As far as State Reporting is concerned, their Resident Town will remain what it was until they are settled in a new residence, at which time you would changed it (if needed). IN ADDITION, there is a pulldown for "Homeless Night-time Residence" in Enrollment you need to set for State Reporting purposes. Among the choices is "6: Unknown" which is the catch-all if you simply do not know. Do not use "99:Homeless (imported)" as this is only there for compatibility with legacy data.
