This was hard for me to grasp but here is my attempt.
1. How do the life choices(health, education, etc.) in Haiti differ from those in other countries?
2. What impact to their life would a single person in Haiti as apposed to an individual with a family?

These are very deep questions - and it's also convenient that, for example, the second question can easily be applied to this country, too. Looking at my 6-year old kindergartner, I think he will be able to discuss this question, and more importantly he would get a different perspective, and I know it will be good for him in a lot of ways. In fact, I would absolutely love him to have a discussion like this.
It's not on any test, is it?

These are similar to the questions that I posted. I think that this would be really difficult for my fifth graders to attempt. It might fit in nicely to either a middle school or high school current events unit.
