in-class activity: Axis strategy in Europe and in the Pacific
Europe and Pacific Maps directions:
1. Color in the BOUNDARIES of the Axis countries one color on both maps as they were AS OF September 1939 (the start of the war);
2. Use arrows (a different color) to illustrate the invasions launched by Germany in phase two of its strategy (Europe map) AND to illustrate the invasions launched by Japan in the second phase of its wartime strategy (Pacific map);
3. Use a third color to illustrate phase three of Germany's strategy in Europe (Europe map) and phase three of Japan's startegic (Pacific map).
Geo-politics essay:
Using the maps you drew illustrating the Axis military strategy in World War II, write an essay in which you explain the geo-political reasoning behind each of the phases of the Axis strategies and Europe and in the Pacific.
