1 credit – full year – 10th grade
This laboratory course is intended for the student who has a high interest as well as high ability in science. Students will appreciate this course if they wish to be challenged and have a strong work ethic. Extensive reading, writing, daily homework, and testing should be expected as the course proceeds at a rapid pace. Biochemistry, genetics, cytology, evolution, ecology, taxonomy, and comparative anatomy are among the included topics. Students expecting to major in a science after high school should take this level.
PREREQUISITE: CP/Honors Earth & Space AND CP/Honors Physical Science grade of B or better and teacher recommendation.
