Art II is designed for students who have received credit for one half year of secondary school art and who wish to develop further skills in art. An emphasis is placed on drawing as the key element in the education of an artist's eye. The art of seeing and drawing are perceived as skills that continue throughout an artist's life. Student have an opportunity to explore areas of personal interest in greater depth. Units include design, advanced drawing (still life, figure, landscapes), painting tempera, watercolor and acrylics), printmaking (linoleum & monoprint), sculpture, crafts.
